Melbourne Airport has welcomed Viva Macau’s decision to increase services from Melbourne, with an additional weekly flight commencing from March 28 this year. The announcement comes after Viva Macau’s decision to temporarily suspend its service to Sydney.

Viva Macau, which commenced operations in 2004, provides long haul operates from its home base in Macau. The airline currently operates a fleet of two B767 aircraft, but has plans to expand its fleet to 15 aircraft within five years. Currently, the airline operates services to Pusan, the Maldives, Jakarta and Sydney, but plans to expand this network and route frequencies as it receives additional aircraft.
