NORWAY : Lufthansa Technik and Norwegian Air Shuttle have signed an agreement for overhaul services on more than 100 engines. According to the new contract, Lufthansa Technik will take care of the CFM56-7B engines for all 53 aircraft of Norwegian´s 737NG fleet and further seven spare engines.

UNITED KINGDOM : (CAPA) easyJet signed a ten-year OnPointSM Solutions services agreement with GE Aviation for the maintenance and overhaul of CFM56-5B and CFM56-7B engines powering the airlines fleet of 192 A319s and 32 B737-700 aircraft, respectively. The agreement, which could cover as many as 340 shop visits, is potentially valued at USD1 billion.

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA : Hannover MTU Aero Engines has received the largest maintenance contract in its history: JetBlue Airways extended the term of the contract concluded with MTU Maintenance Hannover in 2005 from 10 to 15 years. The contract is worth EUR1.7 billion. That brings the overall JetBlue contract value to EUR2.4 billion. Totally, the maintenance order backlog of the German engine manufacturer now stands at more than EUR5.0 billion.
