Allegiant Air announces end of service from Wichita to Orlando
Allegiant Air announced it will end its scheduled service between Wichita and Orlando. Allegiant Air’s last day of service to the Orlando-Sanford area will be 07-Jul-08.

Allegiant Air President and CEO, Maurice J. Gallagher, said "Unfortunately, due to escalating fuel costs, we will end our Orlando service from Wichita… we do apologise for any inconvenience this may cause our customers. We greatly appreciate the support the community and the airport’s management team continue to show us. Our flights to Las Vegas remain unaffected by this announcement."

Allegiant commenced its low cost service from Wichita Mid-Continent Airport with non-stop flights to Las Vegas on 27-Feb-03. Flights to Orlando Sanford International Airport commenced on 22-May-07.
