Air Berlin reports more passengers and increased capacity utilisation in April

In April 2008, Air Berlin (including LTU, Belair and the airline company Walter) increased the number of passengers transported to 2.2 million, representing a 6.5% increase year-on-year. Fleet capacity utilisation also increased, by 4.5 ppts to 78.8%.

 

Air Berlin also reported accumulated passenger numbers for the four months ended 30-Apr-08 increased by 9.7% to 8.1 million passengers, while its capacity utilisation rate rose from 70.7% to 74.7%.

Meanwhile, at EUR5.19 cents in April 2008, flight revenue per available seat kilometre (ASK) was 5.6% higher than in the previous year.
