Frontier Airlines issues RFP for regional services

Frontier Airlines issued (17-Oct-06) a Request For Proposals (RFP) to more than 50 communities throughout

Colorado and within a radius of approximately 1,200 miles of its Denver hub seeking regional jet and/or turbo-prop services. Through the RFP, the LCC wants to provide all potentially viable communities with an opportunity to outline their need for, and plans to support, the introduction of Frontier's planned regional subsidiary, scheduled to commence operations with turboprop aircraft in 2H07.

Frontier is also planning to expand its existing regional jet fleet to up to 20 aircraft and is seeking a new regional jet operator to replace Horizon Air, whose operating agreement with Frontier was terminated in Aug-06.
