Tiger Airways Group Announces Strong Growth for FY2007/8
Tiger Aviation released its passenger figures for the year ending 31-Mar-08. The Group delivered strong year-on-year performance with continued growth across both load factors and passengers flown. Tiger Airways Group also delivered solid financials in year-on-year revenue percentage growth.

 

Financial Year 2007/8 Highlights: 
•    Record 107.7% year-on-year growth in Gross Revenue in Q4, resulting in 81.6% year-on-year growth for FY2007/8;
•    82.7% year-on-year growth in passengers carried in Q4;
•    Passenger growth for the year over 50% with 2.25 million seats sold;
•    Load Factor year-on-year growth was 8% for the FY2007/8;
•    Capacity rose by 62.9% in Q4 with the arrival off three new Airbus aircraft, resulting in 39.6% year-on-year growth for FY2007/8

Tiger Aviation CEO and President, Tony Davis, said “Tiger Airways is pleased to announce our
strongest performance results to date. With the successful launch of Tiger Airways Australia in
November 2007, this was the best quarterly performance for the Group to date.”

Tiger Airways Singapore announced strong operational performances for the calendar year 2007, ending 31-Dec-07, with completion rate of 99.5% while punctuality stood at 85.3%.

Tiger Aviation President and CEO, Tony Davis, also announced that the airline group is bringing forward its delivery schedule of its Airbus 320 aircraft orders in response to the strong demand. The group structure allows Tiger flexibility to adjust fleet plans to be well positioned to respond to market demands. 

The Group will release its financial results following formal audit but anticipates a strong financial performance based on the strong operating figures produced by both Tiger Airways Singapore and Tiger Airways Australia.
