Air Berlin carries more than 2.1 million passengers in Mar-08

Air Berlin announced it carried more than 2.1 million passengers in Mar-08. Air Berlin reported that in Mar-08, a total of 2,175,427 passengers travelled on Air Berlin (including its subsidiaries LTU and Belair, and the airline company Walter), representing an increase of 5.5% year-on-year.

 

Load factor improved by 3.9 ppts to reach 77.8% in Mar-08. At EUR5.23 cents, available seat kilometre (ASK) in Mar-0808 was slightly higher than in Mar-07, which was EUR5.20 cents.

Meanwhile, for 1Q08, the accumulated number of passengers travelling on Air Berlin totaled 5,831,160 passengers, an increase of 10.9% year-on-year. Load factor improved by 3.9 ppts to 73.3% for the period from Jan-08 to Mar-08.
