Monarch reports passenger traffic for scheduled services

Monarch reported a 9.5% increase in Mar-08 passenger traffic on its scheduled services, year-on-year.
Monarch also launched two new services from its base at Gatwick with up to four times weekly to Larnaca in Cyprus and up to three times weekly to Menorca.
Monarch’s passenger statistics for scheduled services during March 2008:
• Passenger numbers:
o March 2008: 281,994;
o March 2007: 257,533;
o % change: +9.5%.
• Load factor:
o March 2008: 82.86%;
o March 2007: 82.70%;
o % change: +0.16%.
• Internet sales percentage
o March 2008: 89%;
o March 2007: 90%;
o % change: -1%.
Overall, for both scheduled and charter services, Monarch carried a total of 501,017 passengers during March 2008.
