Frontier Airlines entered (29-Nov-06) discussions with Denver International Airport (DIA) to expand facilities to accommodate the carriers proposed regional subsidiary.
Frontier is planning significant development from Denver in the future. It plans to launch operations to regional destinations around the Rocky Mountains with ten Q400 turboprop aircraft under a new subsidiary, Lynx Aivation, as well as expand its existing regional jet fleet, operated by Frontier JetExpress, to up to 20 aircraft. Frontier currently operates from Concourse A at the airport and DIA may consider adding a new regional facility for the carrier.
