ANA considering establishing a LCC
All Nippon Airways, Japan’s second largest carrier, plans to establish an office in Hong Kong from Apr-08, as it researches the possibility of establishing an LCC in the region.

According to The Nikkei Business Daily, the new airline could be established as early as the 2008 fiscal year, possibly through a JV with an Asian carrier or by acquiring another airline.

The proposed LCC will have a separate identity from the ANA Group and service and fares will be differentiated from current ANA products.

Crews will be employed locally, meals and beverages will be charged for, and fare levels will be competitive with other regional LCCs, according to ANA.
