AirAsia announces new direct daily services to Ho Chi Minh, Hong Kong and Haikou
AirAsia announced expansions to its international route network with three new destinations, growing its route network to a total of 93. AirAsia is scheduled to operate three new direct daily services to Ho Chi Minh, commencing in Apr-08, and Hong Kong and Haikou, commencing in May-08.

The announcement of the three routes are part of AirAsia’s Airbus A320 rollout programme to further strengthen AirAsia’s network in the ASEAN region in meeting the increasing traffic demands.

Ho Chi Minh
Commencing 15-Apr-08, Ho Chi Minh will receive AirAsia’s brand new Airbus A320 at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport. The connectivity will be further strengthened by AirAsia’s sister company, Thai AirAsia who will commence its inaugural flight into the city on 04-Apr-08.

Hong Kong
AirAsia will commence its Kuala Lumpur-Hong Kong on 15-May-08. Hong Kong has long been on the radar for many business travellers and a shopping haven for many tourists. Meanwhile, AirAsia also aims to tap the youth market with its low fares to boost inbound traffic into Kuala Lumpur.

Haikou
Situated at the north of Hainan Island, Haikou is China’s biggest island with over 8 million in population.  AirAsia will be the first carrier to have a direct service into Haikou from 22-May-08.
