Cebu Pacific takes delivery of first ATR 72-500 aircraft

Cebu Pacific (CEB) took delivery of its first of 18 ATR 72-500 aircrafts, valued at USD330 million. Cebu Pacific expects to take delivery of another five ATRs from Mar-Dec-08.
Meanwhile, the carrier also announced it will take delivery of four new Airbus A320 aircrafts in 2008. CEB expects to have a fleet of 25 by year end 2008, with 6 ATRs and 19 A320/319 aircrafts. This will be used to support its rapid domestic and international network expansion geared to carry more than seven million passengers 2008.

Now in its 12th year, CEB flies to 12, soon to be 15 international destinations, with the addition of Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi, and Kaohsiung. CEB also operates flights to 21 domestic destinations with the addition of Boracay (Caticlan) commencing from 29-Feb-08.
