Ramki Sundaram, Officiating CEO Deccan said, “Our call centre is a crucial passenger touch point and leveraging it we wish to facilitate more and more people who do not use credit cards or the internet to book tickets on Deccan. The tie up with ExpressIT will enable easy door delivery and cash pickup for passengers booking through our call centre. Innovative strategies are overarching to our growth and through this service we are looking at increasing the range and breadth of our market penetration."
About Deccan’s Door Delivery service
-Door delivery service can be availed by passengers booking thorough the 24/7 all India Deccan call centre 080 - 39008888 (prefix city code if dialing from mobile phone)
-The date of travel should be at least 3 days from the date of booking.
-On booking, the ticket will first be on hold for 24 hours and then confirmed
-The ticket will be delivered to the passenger‘s address by Express IT for a an additional payment of Rs. 100/-
-The delivery of the tickets will be done at all the 65 destinations that Deccan flies to. In addition, tickets can be booked from and delivered to another 215 cities in India.
Some of the distribution channels that Deccan has adopted in past are Reliance webworld, HPCL petrol pumps, BPCL “In &Out” convenience stores, India Post Offices in Karnataka, “mFly” bookings through mobile phone in addition to its website and traditional travel agent channels.
