Vueling reports Nov-07 load factor and passenger traffic improvements

(c) Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation: Vueling carried 495,860 passengers during Nov-07, a 78.4% year-on-year increase, while load factor improved 7.3 ppt year-on-year to 63.4%.
Load factor improvements in Nov-07, in relation to Nov-06, has brought about a recovery to a load-factor level which is more “well-suited to this part of the year”. It contributes to soften the effect the competitive environment, and the resulting reduction in fare prices.
Vueling carried a total of 5.7 million in the 12 months to 30-Nov-07, an 80.9% year-on-year increase, while load factor was 74.1%, a 4.9 ppt year-on-year increase.
The airline stated that, in the coming month, it will seek to optimise the fares level in order to progress towards its target of revenue optimisation, even though it could cause a minor reduction in load factors.
