(CAPA) Jetstar announced plans to offer the lowest all-inclusive fares in Australian history with an unprecedented five cent seat sale.
From 1900 AEST on 21-Nov-07, Jetstar will offer 5,000 seats at five cents each, between 1900 and 2359 AEST or until sold out exclusively to its JetMail members.
The five cent fare offer is a celebration of Jetstar winning five key airline industry awards this year:
1. Skytrax World’s Best Low Cost Carrier 2007;
2. Skytrax Best Low Cost Carrier Australia Pacific 2007;
3. Skytrax Best Cabin Crew Australia/New Zealand 2007;
4. Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation’s Asia Pacific Best Low Cost Airline 2007;
5. Airline Business Magazine’s Award for Operational Excellence 2007;
Airfares for five cents tops Jetstar’s previous record for the lowest fares on sale in the Australian market. Earlier in the year Jetstar marketed 10,000 seats for AUD1 each.
The offer is available on selected services on selected Jetstar domestic routes. Jetstar’s routes in the sale are:
• Sydney – Gold Coast;
• Melbourne – Hobart;
• Melbourne – Launceston;
• Melbourne – Newcastle;
• Brisbane – Rockhampton;
• Brisbane – Mackay;
• Brisbane – Newcastle.

Fares are available for travel between 03-May-08 and 03-Jun-08 and 29-Jul-08 and 09-Sep-08 on selected Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday days within these two travel periods.
