Air India Express delays launch of domestic services

Air India Express launch of domestic services has been delays by parent, Air India Express, diverting the carriers equipment to cope with the surge of traffic to the Gulf region for the Haj pilgrimage.

The carrier had originally been slated to launch its domestic services at the beginning of Oct-07, but the date has now been pushed back until at least Jan-08.

Air India Express primarily operates services from India to the Gulf region, with a network that covers Oman, the UAE, Qatar and Bahrain. Services to Kuwait are scheduled to begin from the end of Oct-07.
