Skybus announces new base at Piedmont Triad International Airport

(CAPA) Skybus Airlines announced plans to launch its newly-announced base at Piedmont Triad International Airport (PTI) in Jan-08 and Feb-08, with daily services to seven new destinations and additional service to Columbus.
Skybus will link the Greensboro/Winston-Salem/High Point area with Florida, Gulf Coast, East Coast and West Coast markets, with a second daily service to Colombus. Skybus has operated daily Colombus-PTI service since it commenced operations in May-07;
Beginning 15-Jan-07, Skybus will service Boston with twice-daily services through Portsmouth International Airport, and will operate services to Jacksonville/Daytona Beach through St Augustine Airport, and Ft Myers/Punta Gorda with twice-daily services through Charlotte County Airport in Punta Gorda.
Skybus will also launch services from Piedmont Traid to Fort Lauderdale and Gulfport-Biloxi from 17-Jan-07, and services to Burbank Bob Hope International Airport from 25-Feb-07.
Skybus will initially base two aircraft at PTI, adding a third in Feb-08, and will establish a maintenance facility at the airport. Skybus will also base pilots and flight attendants in the Piedmont Triad.
