(CAPA) Air Deccan is reportedly planning to withdraw from all loss-making routes and focus on non-metropolitan services, to allow Kingfisher Airlines to focus on the major metro routes.
Dr Vijay Mallya, Chairman of Kingfisher, has stated it is important for each carrier to have their focus clearly defined to ensure that they do not compete against one another.
The
route rationalisation plan could be announced on 15-Oct-07 to coincide with the rebranding of Air Deccan, reportedly as ‘Simplify Deccan’, incorporating a new red livery and other changes.
