GoAir to take delivery of first A320

(CAPA) GoAir confirmed it would take delivery of its first of 20 ordered A320s in late Sep-07. The carrier had placed a USD1.2 billion order for 20 A320s, and plans to enter the capital market in 2009.

Meanwhile, the carrier confirmed plans to launch services to Kolkata by mid-2008.

Go Airlines Pvt Ltd is a subsidiary of the Wadia Group, and launched operations in 2005. The carrier currently operates 60 daily services, with aims to increase services to 90 in the near future.  

GoAir currently operates to 11 Indian destinations including; Srinagar, Jammu, Delhi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Goa, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kochi.
