Megalink ATMs accepting payments for Cebu Pacific tickets

(CAPA) Cebu Pacific announced that, beginning 19-Sep-07, passengers can pay for their airline tickets via Megalink automated teller machines (ATMs) and Megalink member banks after making their booking through Cebu Pacifics call centre.
All depositors of Megalink affiliated banks may now pay for their Cebu Pacific bookings in over 1,700 ATMs nationwide.
Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacific Vice President for Marketing and Product, said after payment is confirmed, the airline will send a text message to the passenger containing their e-ticket details on or before 12 noon the following day.
To help shoulder the cost of using banks’ facilities, a 15-peso (USD0.33) service fee will be charged per payment transaction.
All Megalink-affiliated banks will be accredited for the Cebu Pacific link-up. In addition, Banco De Oro, Equitable-PCI Bank, along with Robinsons Bank, will accept over-the-counter payments even from those who are not account holders.
“We are aware of the need to innovate and look for better ways for our guests to book and pay for their tickets. With this new service, guests now have the option to pay for their CEB tickets in the same way that they are now paying for their electric bills.” Ms Iyog said.
“We want to make air travel more accessible so we need to find ways to reach more people in a faster and more efficient manner.” Iyog emphasized.
