IndiGo takes delivery of 12th Airbus A320

(CAPA) IndiGo took delivery of its 12th A320 in mid-Sep-07. Three more A320s are scheduled for delivery before the end of 2007, increasing their total to 15 A320s.

Meanwhile, the carrier launched daily non-stop Hyderabad-Jaipur and increased frequency of Hyderabad-Bangalore-Kochi services on 16-Sep-07.

IndiGo plans to serve 30 Indian cities by 2010, with a fleet of approximately 40 A320s. The carrier is scheduled to take delivery of a new aircraft every five weeks and expects to operate 18 A320s by Mar-08. Indigo launched domestic services in Aug-06, and forecasts it will become profitable in the financial year 2008/2009.
