Airports across Canada adopt WestJet's Electronic Boarding Pass
(CAPA) WestJet announced that from 24-Aug-07, electronic boarding passes will be accepted at all 26 Canadian airports at which the airline operates. WestJet is the first airline in North America to use the paperless format to check in and board guests.

Beginning 24-Aug-07 in Victoria, Comox, Vancouver, Abbotsford, Prince George, Kelowna, Grande Prairie, Calgary, Edmonton, Fort McMurray, Saskatoon, Regina, Winnipeg, London, Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge, Thunder Bay, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Saint John, Moncton, Halifax, Charlottetown, Deer Lake and St John's, WestJet passengers will be able to proceed through security and board WestJet services using the electronic boarding pass displayed on their personal mobile device.

During the WestJet Web check-in process, guests will now be presented boarding pass options. They can choose to print their boarding pass immediately or at the airport, or select the electronic boarding pass option and have an e-mail sent to their mobile device. They will then show the boarding pass displayed on their mobile device to proceed through security and to board their flight.
