Cebu Pacific to accept payments for flight changes via call centre

(CAPA) Cebu Pacific announced plans to accept payments for rebooking transactions via its call centre beginning 15-Aug-07.
Passengers will be able to call the 24-hour hotline to rebook services and pay for the rebooking fees using Visa or Mastercard credit cards over the phone. Cebu Pacific will also be increasing the capacity of the call centre by another 30%, beginning 01-Sep-07, to further improve the airline’s accessibility and convenience.
Cebu Pacific currently processes approximately 450 rebooking transactions per day. The ability of its system to accept payments via call centre will also help shorten queues in its ticketing offices.
Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacific Vice President for Marketing and Product said, “We are the first and only Philippine carrier that allows guests to purchase tickets, make flight changes and accept credit card payments through its call centre. We have always been known as an innovator in the industry and we are always looking for ways to improve our service to our guests.”
Cebu Pacific was the first airline to introduce e-ticketing and online booking in the Philippines. The airline also recently partnered with Europcar and Malayan Insurance to provide transport and an online insurance product, respectively.
“Our call centre plays an important role in delivering our service to our guests and it is critical that we continue to find ways to make Cebu Pacific more accessible to more people. We are also constantly looking for better ways to operate more effectively and efficiently.” Marvin Cui, Director for Reservations and Ticketing added.
