Jetstar Asia partners with Globe Telecom to offer GCash mobile payment in the Philippines

(CAPA) Jetstar Asia announced it has entered a partnership with Globe Telecom to offer GCash mobile payment for Jetstar tickets in the Philippines.

The m-commerce platform enables customers to send and receive payments through mobile text messaging. The process involves the booking of Philippines services on the Jetstar webpage, followed by payment being made instantly and wirelessly with the GCash-enabled Globe or TM SIM card.

Ms Chong Phit Lian, Jetstar Asia's CEO says, "Statistics show that Singapore is now attracting younger visitors as traveling has become more affordable. We want to bring greater convenience to our customers so what better way to reach out to this age group than through their mobile phones. We are glad that Globe Telecom is proactive and equipped with the technology to handle what we want to do."
