CEB carried more than 4.7 million passengers in 12 months ending June 2007
Philippine low cost carrier, Cebu Pacific carried more than 4.7 million passengers for the period July 2006 to June 2007, up 89% year-on-year. Domestic operations expanded from more than 2.2 million to almost 3.99 million passengers, while international operations almost tripled from almost 271,000 to more than 730,000 passengers. VP for Marketing and Product, Candice Iyog said, “The continued growth of Cebu Pacific shows that more Filipinos are able to travel by air because of the lowest fares we offer to all the destinations we operate. At the rate we are going, we are one of the fastest growing airlines in the world and this is something we, a Filipino carrier, are very proud of.” she added.

The airline has also recently placed an order for up to 20 Airbus A320 aircraft and up to 14 ATR 72-500 aircraft. This will be used to achieve CEB’s target of carrying up to 15 million passengers by 2013.

The carrier has the youngest fleet in the Philippines with an average age of one year. CEB operates 14 new A320s to its 20 domestic and soon to be 12 regional destinations with the addition of Shanghai, Xiamen, Guangzhou, and Macau in September and October 2007. Cebu Pacific has opened three new domestic and five new international destinations in the past 12 months.
