Flight Attendant Union secures valuable protections in tentative agreement with Frontier Airlines “Frontier Flight Attendants have the opportunity to vote on a contract for the first time. We applaud the elected leadership for creating solutions to difficult problems and achieving a tentative agreement that has immediate protections for Flight Attendants and long term value,” said Veda Shook, AFA International President. “Frontier Flight Attendants have always stood together in difficult times and this agreement recognizes their commitment to the airline and provides assurances that they will profit from its success.”
In May 2010, Frontier Flight Attendants joined AFA. Since that time, AFA leadership has engaged Flight Attendants in a mobilization drive and surveyed the membership on negotiations priorities. Specific terms will not be released until the Frontier Flight Attendants have had a chance to review the details.
“Frontier Flight Attendants sent a very clear message that any agreement must provide job security and protect our interests moving forward. We are proud that with AFA representation, we were able to negotiate an agreement that is specific to the needs of Frontier Flight Attendants,” said Erika Schweitzer, AFA Frontier President. “This is not the first time Frontier Flight Attendants have shown their dedication and commitment to our profession and the success of our company. Frontier Flight Attendants have earned the right to have stability in a volatile industry and reap the rewards of their sacrifices.”
