Pegasus Airlines and IZair cut fuel costs with flight planning IT from Lufthansa Systems

Pegasus Airlines and IZair, a 100 % subsidiary of Pegasus, will optimize their flight planning processes with Lido/Flight from Lufthansa Systems. The airlines and the IT provider recently signed a five-year contract covering the implementation of the solution.

Pegasus Airlines is a major Turkish low-cost carrier and a pioneer of this business model in Turkey. It demonstrates the suitability of Lido/Flight for all kinds of business models as it will enable Pegasus Airlines to benefit from optimum flight routes and thus considerable fuel and cost savings.

Lido/Flight calculates optimal flight routes based on various factors and can reduce fuel costs by up to five percent. With its modern technology and user-friendly architecture, Lido/Flight covers all aspects of flight planning. The system provides dispatchers with many optimization options regarding flight time, fuel consumption or costs of each flight. The system also offers additional modules which facilitate dispatchers' work in various subtasks. It is in use with major airlines around the world operating in different business models. Lido/Flight is also a component of the Integrated Operations Control (IOCC) Platform from Lufthansa Systems.
