Dublin based aircraft lessor AWAS announced today that it has delivered a new Airbus A320-200 to Frontier Airlines, an operating unit of Republic Airways Holdings, Inc., headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Today’s delivery is one of three A320 aircraft delivered by AWAS this year and supports a major fleet optimization program launched by Frontier and its parent company, Republic Airways Holdings, Inc.

“We are very pleased to be receiving this third new Airbus A320 aircraft from AWAS, which will be immediately deployed in our network and help us drive operational efficiencies and improved route performance as part of our previously announced fleet-optimization plan,” said Bryan Bedford, Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer Republic Airways Holdings, Inc.

“We are proud to have been chosen by Frontier to provide this A320 fleet solution and to count them as a valued AWAS customer in North America.” said Ray Sisson, President & CEO, AWAS. “We believe this effort is the continuation of a significant and long-term relationship between our organisations.”
