SR Technics secures first contract in the Philippines with Cebu Pacific
SR Technics has secured its first long-term contract in the Philippines; a 10-year agreement with Cebu Pacific. The USD 52 m accord is to provide exclusive maintenance services for 18 CFM56-5B engines on the airline’s Airbus A320 fleet.

SR Technics will carry out the services at its Engine Shop facility in Zurich. As part of the contract SR Technics will provide world class door-to-door turnaround time and has offered guaranteed savings to Cebu, through a sophisticated material management system.

Cebu is Asia’s third largest low-cost carrier and the largest airline in the Philippines, in terms of number of passengers carried. It also operates the youngest aircraft fleet in the country.

“We are delighted to have secured our first long-term contract in the Philippines, despite very strong local competition. The win is testament to the high quality and reliable services we are renowned for worldwide,” said James Stewart, Chief Executive Officer at SR Technics. “Cebu Pacific is a well respected and important low-cost carrier in Asia. We look forward to building an ongoing relationship over the coming years as we expand our business in Asia.”

“The responsiveness and flexibility of SR Technics was second to none. Their ability to accommodate our needs and provide us with a tailored solution was impressive. We look forward to working closely with SR Technics over the next decade,” comments Mark Breen, Chief Operating Officer at Cebu Pacific.
