IndiGo announces Coimbatore as its new destination

India’s largest low-fare carrier will now connect Coimbatore to the metros of Chennai, and Delhi. The new flights resonate the airline’s expansion plan, and the month-on-month growth IndiGo has seen in the domestic skies. Commencing on November 30, these new services will further consolidate IndiGo’s position as the fastest growing airline in India, with its 207 flights connecting 23 destinations across the nation. Both corporate and leisure customers travelling from Coimbatore will now have the opportunity to experience the hassle-free, on-time performance that IndiGo is synonymous with.

Speaking on the launch of Coimbatore as a new destination, Aditya Ghosh, President, IndiGo said,“ Expanding operations in South India is in line with our growth strategy in the Indian market, and Coimbatore is a key market for us. We are looking at providing affordable fares on these new routes for 6E travelers. IndiGo will continue to expand its network to meet the requirements of both business and leisure travelers wherever they demand it. It is our constant endeavour to provide more flexibility of choice for our customers as IndiGo continues to offer them on time, hassle free and always affordable flying experience”

Additionally, IndiGo recently launched its ‘Good Karma’ campaign, in partnership with ‘Save the Children’, a non-government organization (NGO). Through this initiative, IndiGo aims to extend its support to lesser privileged children, and help them meet their basic requirement of good education, food and health. The success of this programme will largely depend upon all 6E passengers flying everyday, through a contribution of Rs 10.
