AVIANOVA optimizes its route network for the Winter
In order to best meet Winter season demand AVIANOVA, Russia's low-cost airline will suspend service to Kazan from October 31, 2010.

All the passengers who bought tickets to Kazan for the period after October 31, 2010 were informed in advance about flights suspension. All the passengers were offered AVIANOVA voucher, equivalent to 110% of the flight cost, or refunded for the ticket in full.

Andrew Pyne, AVIANOVA CEO commented on the airline’s decision to leave the Kazan market for the Winter: “Inevitably some routes are seasonal in terms of traffic demand but as we leave the Kazan market - temporarily - we will be adding services to Kaliningrad from Moscow and St Petersburg. We will continue to serve Tatarstan through Naberezhnye Chelny. And we hope to be back in Kazan as soon as we can. At the moment we are looking to bring new aircraft into the fleet to continue the rapid expansion of our network: and we are fine tuning the network and frequencies to best meet customer demand”.
