Jetstar to explore future growth in Launceston
Low fares leader Jetstar is actively exploring future growth opportunities for its services to Launceston.

Jetstar has operated to Launceston since commencing its low fare flights in 2004 and presently flies a base schedule of up to 35 weekly return frequencies to its northern Tasmanian gateway - to Melbourne (3 times daily), Sydney (daily) and Brisbane (daily).

With more than a six year operational history and an established partnership in growth with Launceston Airport, Jetstar is well placed to consider a future boost to its low fare flights for Launceston, which are operated by a growing fleet of Airbus A320s.

The airline confirmed it would hold ongoing discussions with Launceston Airport management around future flying opportunities.

Jetstar has today announced that for customers of Tiger Airways who have a future flight between Launceston and Melbourne cancelled, that they can contact our airline and receive a $50 Jetstar travel voucher* for each paying passenger to put towards a return flight on any route on the Jetstar network. (*Conditions apply).

People with a cancelled Tiger Airways itinerary* (for travel between Melbourne and Launceston from 2 August 2010) will receive a $50 Jetstar travel voucher (applicable for each paying passenger) by emailing their itinerary to or via fax to (03) 9349 5116.

Please ensure to include your first name and surname, an email address and phone number and the voucher will be forwarded by email within five business days.
