Cebu Pacific inaugurates service from Manila to Taipei
(CAPA) Cebu Pacific (CEB), Philippines leading domestic airline, commenced ManilaTaipei services on 13-Jun-07. The new service is scheduled to operate daily to and from Tapei Chang Kai Shek International Airport.

The Manila-Taipei service will be operated using CEB’s A320 aircraft, departing Manila at 11:10am, arriving in Taipei at 1:10pm, and making the return flight from Taipei at 1:55pm to arrive back in Manila at 3:55pm.

“The bookings on our Taipei flights have been very encouraging. We hope that with the low fares and the convenient schedule for this new destination, we will be able to attract both business and leisure travellers from Taipei,” said Candice Iyog, VP for marketing and product.

CEB recently announced the acquisition of additional ATR and Airbus aircraft to complement its continued expansion, both domestically and internationally. This is part of CEB’s strategy to achieve a target of 5 million passengers by the end of this year and more than 10 million passengers by 2013.

Now in its 12th year, CEB has the youngest fleet in the Philippines with a fleet age of just over one year. CEB operates 14 new Airbus aircraft to its 20 domestic and 8 regional destinations.

Date posted: 14-Jun-07.
