Flybe confirms additional capacity at Leeds Bradford Airport in response to national rail strike
Flybe, the UK’s Number One domestic Airline, has been quick to step up to the plate at Leeds Bradford International Airport (LBIA) following confirmation that both the RMT and TSSA Unions have called a four day national rail strike effective of Tuesday 6th April.

Mike Rutter, Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer comments, “In order to give the many passengers whose travel plans will be disrupted yet again by strike action, Flybe will increase frequency and availability wherever needed to meet the expected demand over what is one of the busiest travel periods of the year.

“We are in a better position than any other airline to offer such increased frequency with our extensive regional UK network offering a choice of key routes from 38 UK airports.”

Rob Memmott, Finance Director at LBIA said, “We are pleased to offer our support to all passengers whose travel may be disrupted during the Easter holidays due to the national rail strike. Flybe is offering easy access to a wide selection of domestic routes including London Gatwick, Southampton, Exeter, Aberdeen and Belfast City from LBIA. In addition, complimentary Fast Track through security is currently available to passengers travelling to the capital via London Gatwick.”
