Jetstar to code share JAL with on Osaka-Brisbane-Sydney route

From 28-May- 07, Jetstar and Japan Airlines (JAL) will start code-sharing on the Osaka - Brisbane - Sydney - Osaka route, with flights operated by Jetstar.

JAL's `JL' designator will be placed on Jetstar flights, which operate daily on the triangular routing linking Japan and Australia. The code share agreement only covers economy class on these flights.

Sales and reservations of economy class on the new JAL code share flights start 24-May-07. Fares issued by JAL will be inclusive of meals and soft drinks. Alcoholic drinks and additional snacks will be available for purchase onboard.

Jetstar started operating to Japan on 25-Mar-07 on the Osaka-Brisbane-Sydney route.

JAL suspended its own flights on this route on 25-Mar-07. The new code share arrangement with Jetstar will enable JAL to maintain its network between Osaka and Australia.
