AirAsia enters agreement with MRO provider Sepang Aircraft Engineering.
AirAsia entered (22-May-07) a Memorandum of Agreement with MRO provider, Sepang Aircraft Engineering (SAE), to provide maintenance and repair services for the airlines fleet of A320s and B737-300 aircraft.

The MOA is a non-binding preliminary agreement between the companies and is subject to further contract negotiations and SAE meeting AirAsia’s technical requirements when it is ready for operation.  The agreement is part of AirAsia’s plans to divert MRO services back into Malaysia from its current location in Singapore. The airline expects to obtain cost savings of between 15 and 20% from the move.
