Southwest Airlines adds another flight from JAX to the Music City
The Jacksonville Aviation Authority (JAA) today announced that Southwest Airlines is reinstating a nonstop flight from Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) to Nashville, effective March 14, 2010.

The additional Southwest flight will bring the daily departures from JAX to Nashville International Airport (BNA) to four. Southwest is adding the flight back into its schedule to reflect anticipated seasonal travel demand in the spring.

“This is great news for Jacksonville air travelers,” said Michael Stewart, JAA’s Director of External Affairs. “Locally, there is a big demand for travel services to the Nashville area. We’re thrilled Southwest Airlines has decided to add this flight back to our schedule, which gives our customers more travel choices.”

With this addition, Southwest Airlines will have 21 total daily departures from Jacksonville.
