Jet2.com the leading low fare airline today furthered its commitment to Blackpool with the launch of the airport's first ever direct scheduled service to Jersey for summer 2010.
The new twice weekly service to the popular Channel Island will commence from 28th May 2010 with flights now on sale from just 29.99 one way including taxes.
Jet2.com will be on the only operator to offer a direct service to Jersey from Blackpoool giving people from across Lancashire and the Lake District even more choice when it comes to travelling from their favourite local airport.
Today's announcement means that travellers can now book flights with Jet2.com to Jersey, Malaga, Faro, Majorca, Alicante, Murcia, Belfast, Tenerife and Geneva!
Sue Kendrick, customer relations & communications manager for Blackpool International said: "The introduction of a new scheduled service to Jersey clearly demonstrates both Jet2.com's commitment to Blackpool International and the airport's continued efforts to grow and develop to provide the most cost effective services for our passengers and to promote the tourist destinations of Blackpool, the Lake District and Lancashire to our inbound passengers.
