SkyEurope appoints CFO and introduces changes to its management structure
Bratislava, 24 April 2007 SkyEurope Airlines announces the appointment of a CFO together with changes to its management structure effective from 1 May 2007.

Nick Manoudakis has been appointed as SkyEurope’s Chief Financial Officer.

As a founding member of easyJet, Nick was the airline’s Finance Director between 1995 and the end of 1999.  He then became the Finance Director of easyGroup, acting as a CFO for several of their ventures.

Alain Skowronek, SkyEurope’s co-founder and Chairman, has announced that he wishes to step down from his executive functions with the Company.  Alain has been working together with Christian Mandl for the last seven years on setting up and growing SkyEurope.

Alain stated: “I am proud of what we have achieved at SkyEurope.  The Company disposes of a brand new fleet, a strong brand, and is now on track to deliver in EBITDAR positive result in this financial year.  The entrepreneurial start-up phase was successfully completed.”

Jason Bitter, SkyEurope’s Chief Operating Officer since 2005, will in addition to his current role take up the newly created function of Deputy CEO. In his new role as Deputy CEO, Jason will coordinate the day-to-day activities of the airline’s Operations, Commercial and HR departments. 

The functions of Karim Makhlouf, Chief Commercial Officer, and Klaus Niedl, Chief Human Resources Officer, remain unchanged.  They form part of SkyEurope Airlines’ five-member management team now composed of: Christian Mandl, Chairman & CEO; Jason Bitter, Deputy CEO & Chief Operating Officer; Karim Makhlouf, Chief Commercial Officer; Nick Manoudakis, Chief Financial Officer and Klaus Niedl, Chief Human Resources Officer.  Christian Mandl presented these changes by saying: “The strengthening of the SkyEurope management team is a key step in our effort to deliver profitable growth.  We are now well prepared to further develop our leadership position in Central and Eastern Europe.”
