easyJet to open Copenhagen-Manchester route
The opening of the Copenhagen-Manchester service means that easyJet will operate five services out of Copenhagen. Since last summer, easyJet has already expanded its route network out of Denmark to include services to Milan and London Gatwick in addition to the existing two routes to Berlin and London Stansted. Moreover, an additional daily frequency will be added to Berlin in November.
VP Aviation, Copenhagen Airports Carsten Nørland, explained “easyJet has significantly increased its presence at Copenhagen Airport in the past year, thereby intensifying competition on a number of routes. This will benefit passengers, and we are naturally very pleased about that,”
Regional Market Manager, easyJet Thomas Haagensen, Announced “In these times when with many service cuts and route closures, it is of course especially pleasant to be able to announce new routes. We believe that Manchester will be a successful route which will attract both business and leisure travellers. The percentage of business passengers, in particular, is generally showing a steady increase, and this trend will, not least, be supported by the new route”,
