CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - March 29, 2007) - WestJet (TSX:WJA) today clarified comments made at the National Bank Financial Transportation and Logistics Conference held yesterday in Toronto. Speaking at the conference, WestJet's President Sean Durfy has been quoted by media as saying the airline's seat capacity could rise 19 per cent for 2007.

In clarification to these statements, WestJet's planned seat capacity growth, measured in available seat miles (ASMs), for the full-year 2007 is estimated at 13 per cent. Capacity growth for the first quarter 2007, compared to the first quarter 2006, is anticipated to be 19 per cent.
