New London Gatwick - Dusseldorf successful take off
Strong forward ticket sales have exceeded initial forecasts, with an impressive 52% being made from Germany. Sales have been boosted by the large percentage of passengers choosing to take advantage of Flybe Connections’ seamless service offered by the airline through its London Gatwick base. Jersey and Newquay have been the most popular but passengers are also connecting to Guernsey, Aberdeen, Inverness, Belfast, Isle of Man, Leeds and Newcastle.
Mike Rutter, Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer comments: “Our new London Gatwick to Dusseldorf service is of great importance to both Flybe leisure and business passengers and we’ve been delighted with our customers’ early support.
“Flybe is gaining a reputation as an airline that bucks the trend in these challenging economic times and the early success of this route is a confident reflection in people seeking out the most affordable travel that also offers a quality service.”
Flights, operating three times a day on weekdays, daily on Saturdays and twice daily on Sundays, can be booked at www.flybe.com with fares from GMP34.99 one way including taxes and airport charges
