New London Gatwick - Dusseldorf successful take off

Flybe, Europe’s largest and most successful regional airline, flew its inaugural flight between London Gatwick and Dusseldorf earlier this week during which passengers enjoyed specially baked souvenir gingerbread biscuits, the arriving aircraft being welcomed into the German airport by a contingent of local VIPs.

 

Strong forward ticket sales have exceeded initial forecasts, with an impressive 52% being made from Germany. Sales have been boosted by the large percentage of passengers choosing to take advantage of Flybe Connections’ seamless service offered by the airline through its London Gatwick base. Jersey and Newquay have been the most popular but passengers are also connecting to Guernsey, Aberdeen, Inverness, Belfast, Isle of Man, Leeds and Newcastle.
