Malaysia's AirAsia, GE sign spare parts inventory management deal

KUALA LUMPUR (XFN-ASIA) - AirAsia Bhd said it has signed an agreement with GE Commercial Aviation Services (GECAS) to finance and manage its spare parts inventory for its fleet of 34 Boeing 737-300 aircraft.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed, but the budget carrier said the GECAS solution will help facilitate its fleet rollover program.
GECAS is the commercial aircraft financing and leasing business of GE and is part of GE Infrastructure.
