AirAsia's Fernandes raises stake in Malaysia's Tune Air to 48.04 pct

KUALA LUMPUR (XFN-ASIA) - Tune Air Sdn Bhd said AirAsia Bhd founder Tony Fernandes has added a 3.5 pct stake to his holdings in Tune Air after a restructuring, bringing his total stake to 48.04 pct.

Tune Air is a major shareholder of AirAsia.

Meanwhile, Kamarudin Meranun and Abdul Aziz Abu Bakar, the other major shareholders of Tune Air, have also increased their stakes to 39.44 pct and 12.52 pct, respectively, it added.

Tune Air currently holds a 32.7 pct stake in AirAsia.
