clickair's Lock your fare promotion
Clickair has launched a new initiative, ‘Lock your Fare,’ that guarantees ticket prices for a period of either 24 or 72 hours. This enables travellers to plan their journeys at their own pace without worrying the fare is going to increase. It is a first in the airline sector and is now live on www.clickair.com ready for the peak summer season.

clickair’s Marketing Director Jaime Lloret explained“This tool has been especially designed for leisure travellers where they can ‘freeze’ the price of the best fare on the route they are interested in. This option gives them time to decide on the destination they want to visit, find the most suitable accommodation for their requirements and better control their budget,” “It is another value added offer in clickair’s ‘custom travel’ concept and yet another example of how innovation is considered a key value within the company.”

Using the Lock your Fare system could not be easier. Once you have chosen the origin-destination that you wish and determined the dates you want to fly on with at least two weeks’ notice at www.clickair.com, the various fares offered by the company (“web” fares and flexible “business” fares) will be displayed. From EUR2, travellers can “protect” any of the fares that show on the screen.

During the “protection” period, which can be either 24 or 72 hours and extended by a further 24 hours if necessary, users can send the information about the ticket and its price to their travel companions. This is an excellent way to organise holidays and short breaks whereby every member of the group can share information about the flights they find without having to worry about the price changing once they have decided on a destination and a specific flight.

Finally, and so that travellers do not forget about the expiry of the price “protection” period, the system automatically sends an email to users alerting them to the imminent expiry four hours prior to the end of the ‘protection’ period.

“Flying at a reasonable price and being able to guarantee that price for a longer period of time is good motivation when planning your summer holidays, and we believe our customers will appreciate that,” Jaime Lloret added.
