SkyEurope reports Mar-09 load factor, appoints new Chief Commercial Officer

SkyEurope transported a total of 187,655 passengers in Mar-09 with a load factor of 76.3%, a 2.7 pp improvement from Mar-08.
Chief Financial Officer. Nick Manoudakis stated, “The elimination of under-performing capacity has had a positive effect on both load factor and yield this winter. Despite Easter not falling in March this year the performance has improved largely due to the planned reduction in capacity and focus on the core performing routes"
Andras Zboray was appointed the new Chief Commercial Officer of SkyEurope Airlines on 1-Apr-09. Andras is leading SkyEurope’s commercial department and is responsible for revenue, marketing, sales, commercial systems and product. Andras is 45 years old and worked at several positions at Malev over a period of 16 years, including three years as CCO prior to privatization of the company. He is a graduate of the Budapest University of Economics and has an MBA degree in International Aviation from Concordia University.
CEO Jason Bitter announced “We are pleased to welcome Andras to the company. His knowledge and experience of aviation in our region further strengthens our team. We look forward to Andras’ contribution in continuing to build the momentum we have established as we move into the busy summer season"
