ESAS Holding intends to acquire 15.3 percent stake in Air Berlin

Air Berlin PLC has been informed on 29-Mar-09 that ESAS Holding AS which, inter alia, operates the airline Pegasus has executed a share purchase agreement with UBS AG on 28-Mar-09 which provides for the acquisition of around 15.3% of the voting shares in Air Berlin PLC.

 

According to ESAS Holding AS, the consummation of the share purchase agreement is subject to the condition precedent of the approval of the German Federal Cartel Office. ESAS Holding AS will be represented on the Board of Air Berlin PLC with one Non-Executive Director.
