Virgin Blue announces increased Sydney and Melbourne-Bali services
Virgin Blue Airlines Group has announced (27-Mar-09) it will increase its services to Bali from 01-Jun, introducing two brand new routes, one direct from Sydney and the other from Melbourne to the Balinese island gateway of Denpasar.

Pacific Blue will also ramp up its direct flights from Adelaide to Bali from twice weekly to three times a week. The announcement comes after the airline launched its inaugural flights to Bali just three months ago from Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.

Virgin Blue Group Chief Executive, Brett Godfrey, said, “Bali has traditionally been a popular destination for Australian’s and we have seen strong connecting traffic from Melbourne and Sydney so the next obvious step was to put on direct services.”

He continued, “We are pleased to be offering more convenient flying options from other key capital city destinations and providing another airline choice for people to fly to Bali on. Once we launch the new flights, Pacific Blue will offer direct flights from more Australian cities than any other airline”.

Pacific Blue is offering a special fare of AUD299* for direct flights from Melbourne and Sydney on sale from now until Midnight 29-Mar-09 (or until sold out) for travel 01-Jun-09 to 25-Jun-09, and 25-July to 31-Aug-09.
