Meridiana-Eurofly elige Lufthansa Systems para optimizar sus operaciones de vuelo

Airline Operations Solutions The Meridiana Group has selected a comprehensive package of aeronautical IT solutions from Lufthansa Systems. The second largest Italian airline group will use Lido RouteManual navigation charts, the Lido FMS navigational database and the Lido OC flight planning solution for Meridiana and Eurofly.

 

Since all selected IT solutions are based on the same aeronautical database, the Meridiana Group will benefit from a high degree of integration and more efficient flight operations processes. Both companies signed a five-year contract to this effect which also includes hosting services for Lido OC.

CIO of Meridiana Group, Dino Zuin said, “Our decision was supported by the fact, that Eurofly has been optimizing its flight operations with the IT solutions from Lufthansa Systems since 2005 and is very satisfied with the systems and services.”

With this decision from the Meridiana Group, Lufthansa Systems becomes the leading provider for airline operations solutions in the Italian market. Alitalia, Air One, WindJet, Volare and Mistral Air have been optimizing their flight operations with our IT solutions for many years.”

Lido OC uses a large number of parameters to automatically calculate optimal flight routes. By optimizing flight planning, Lido OC reduces fuel consumption and delivers significant cost savings. Lufthansa Systems will host the system in its own data center and ensure safe and reliable data transfer to Meridiana’s and Eurofly’s headquarters in Olbia and Milan.
