Allegiant launches Los Angeles-Arkansas services

Allegiant Air announced (12-Mar-09) new, nonstop jet service to Los Angeles from the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (XNA) beginning 22-May. The airline is celebrating the new service by offering fares as low as USD99 oneâ€way.
The new flights will operate two times weekly between XNA and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) with service Monday and Friday. Flights will depart Northwest Arkansas at 8:05 pm arriving in Los Angeles at 9:25 pm. Flights leaving Los Angeles will depart at 2:25 pm arriving in Northwest Arkansas at 7:25 p.m. (all flight times are local).
Chairman of the Airport Authority's Board of Directors, Stan Green said, "On behalf of the Airport Authority Board, I welcome Allegiant to Northwest Arkansas. For some time, the Board has focused on the importance of attracting a low–cost air carrier to our market, and today we celebrate the initial success of those efforts. I am confident the residents of our region will find this new scheduled charter service to Los Angeles an excellent addition to their travel options. We look forward to a long and successful business partnership with Allegiant for the benefit of the airport and our region."
Allegiant's USD99 one–way introductory fare is limited, must be purchased by 01-Apr-09 and is valid for travel through 30-Sep-09. Introductory fares are not available on all flights. After the introductory fare period, regular one–way fares on the route start as low as USD119 one–way. Allegiant will utilize 150–seat, MD–80 series, jet–aircraft on the route.
